The Sunbury Physiotherapy Clinic was established in 1985 and originally located in Brooke Street, Sunbury. Initially there were three directors; however Marc Di Paolo became the sole principal in 1988. After 10 years at Brooke Street, the practice relocated to 20 Horne Street where it has been since 1995. After working as a physiotherapist within the practice for 6 years, Justine Barrow took over as the sole prinicipal in April, 2009. Marc Di Paolo continues to work in the practice as a physiotherapist. As the population of Sunbury has grown so has the practice. The practice now employs 5 physiotherapists.
In 1998 Sunbury Physiotherapy Clinic was accredited by the Australian Physiotherapy Association as a Quality Endorsed Physiotherapy Service and to this day remains the only accredited practice in Sunbury and the Macedon Ranges. Accreditation is our commitment to providing quality physiotherapy services to the Macedon Ranges Community.
Continuing education and improving our knowledge base is also a strong ethos in the practice. All physiotherapists in the practice either have post. graduate qualifications, are currently undertaking further education or will be in the near future. The practice has a strong in-service program which aims to source and share the latest research and physiotherapy techniques between the professional staff.
The practice also provides physiotherapy services at the Gisborne Medical Centre. A practice physiotherapist is available on Tuesday and Friday mornings for consultation in Gisborne. Appointments can be made by ringing directly on (03) 5428 3355 and asking to make an appointment with the physiotherapist or you can ring the Sunbury rooms on (03) 9744 5066.
