Sunbury Physiotherapy Clinic was established in 1986 and has provided care to Sunbury & Gisborne residents and surrounding areas ever since. The clinic has been accredited by the Australian Physiotherapy Association, a process that promotes excellence in all aspects of physiotherapy care provision. Consultation is by appointment between 8 a.m.-7 p.m. weekdays and until noon on Saturdays. Appointments are also available Tuesday and Friday mornings and Thursday afternoons at the Gisborne Medical Centre. A doctor’s referral is not required to attend physiotherapy. |

We are proud to announce that Sunbury Physiotherapy Clinic recently became re-accredited by Quality in Practice Pty Ltd (QIP). Sunbury Physiotherapy Clinic has been accredited since 1996; however we recently underwent our tri-annual review. The QIP accreditation process is a voluntary undertaking in which we agree to the rigorous standards set by the Australian Physiotherapy Association. These standards cover a diverse range of issues relating to physiotherapy patient care. Being re-accredited, means that we met each one of these standards. Accreditation forms part of our commitment of striving for excellence in providing physiotherapy care.

We are very pleased to announce that Bridy had a boy on the 23rd June 2010 named Benjamin. Benjamin weighed a massive 10lb 12oz! Both Bridy and Benjamin are doing well.
A common winter injury we see is the ankle sprain. It is normally caused by rolling of the ankle, commonly in such sports such as netball, basketball and football.However, ankle sprains can also occur as part of everyday life and cause significant pain.
