Changes to body shape, posture and hormones during pregnancy, and the demands of caring for infants in the post partum period, can lead to strain and pain in various areas of the body. These include pelvic girdle pain, back pain, rib pain, neck pain and pelvic floor dysfunction. Physiotherapists are trained to assess and diagnose these issues and commence you on targeted rehabilitation.
Urinary incontinence affects 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men in Australia. Although it is very common, it is not something that is “normal” or that we have to live with. It is very treatable.
